Frequently asked questions

How do I select the crop area?

After uploading your image, a crop box appears over a live preview. Drag any corner or edge of the box to resize it, or drag inside the box to move it — the area inside the box is what gets kept.

Can I select any crop area, or is it fixed?

The crop is free-form — there's no fixed aspect ratio, so you can select any rectangular area of the image you like.

Can the selection be too small?

If you shrink the crop box down to nothing, the tool rejects the request and asks you to select a larger area.

Will cropping remove the transparent background of my PNG?

No. The alpha channel is preserved exactly as it was — cropping only trims the frame, it never flattens or alters transparency.

Can I crop other image formats?

This tool only accepts PNG files. Use Crop Image for JPG or Crop WebP for WebP files.

Are my files kept private?

Your files are processed on our servers solely to perform the crop. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
