Yes. Burning subtitles into a video is completely free, with no account required. You can process videos up to 20 MB.

What's the difference between this and a regular subtitle track?

A regular subtitle track can be toggled on or off and stays a separate file. Burned-in (hardcoded) subtitles are drawn directly into the video's pixels — they can't be turned off, but they always display correctly on any player or platform, including ones that don't support subtitle tracks at all.

Why is the file size limit lower than some other tools?

Burning subtitles requires re-encoding the entire video, which is genuinely CPU-intensive. Short clips work best — for longer videos, consider trimming first with our Trim Video tool.

Are my files kept private?

Your files are processed on our servers solely to perform the conversion. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
