Frequently asked questions
- Is FloxerFile free to use?
- Yes. Converting MP3 files to WAV is completely free, with no account required. You can convert files up to 5 MB.
- Why is the file size limit so much smaller than other tools?
- WAV is uncompressed, so the output file is much larger than the MP3 you upload — often 10x or more. The 5 MB input limit keeps the resulting WAV file at a reasonable size to process and download.
- Will I get back the exact original audio quality?
- No — MP3 is a lossy format, so whatever quality was lost when the file was originally encoded to MP3 cannot be recovered. Converting to WAV changes the format, not the underlying audio quality.
- Are my files kept private?
- Your files are processed on our servers solely to perform the conversion. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
