- Yes. Converting video to GIF is completely free, with no account required.
- Why is the output GIF so much bigger than the source video?
- GIF is a much less efficient format than MP4 — it doesn't compress motion the way video codecs do. This is normal and expected; short clips (a few seconds) work best for this reason.
- Can I trim my video first?
- Yes — use the Trim Video tool first to cut down to just the section you want, then convert that clip to GIF.
- Are my files kept private?
- Your files are processed on our servers solely to perform the conversion. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
