Always grabs a valid frame
Extracts the very first frame (timestamp 0) rather than a fixed later offset — a fixed 1-second offset would fail on any video shorter than that; frame 0 always exists.
Barely affected by video length
Only the first frame is read and decoded — the rest of the video file is never processed.

- Not currently — this tool always grabs the very first frame of the video. It's the only timestamp guaranteed to exist in any video, however short.
- Will this work on very short video clips?
- Yes — because it grabs frame 0 specifically rather than a fixed later timestamp, it works even on clips under a second long.
- What format is the thumbnail saved in?
- A standard JPEG image, viewable and shareable anywhere.
- What happens to my video after extraction?
- Your video is processed entirely in server memory and deleted immediately after the thumbnail is downloaded.
