Features
Precise, second-level cuts
Set the exact start and end time, down to a tenth of a second.
No keyframe snapping
Unlike video, audio has no keyframe constraints — cuts land exactly on the timestamps you specify.
Handles an end time past the file's length
If your requested end time is beyond the file's actual duration, the trim simply stops at the real end instead of erroring.
Works on any input bitrate
The trimmed section is re-encoded regardless of your source MP3's original bitrate.
Supported formats
MP3 (MPEG-1/2 Layer III)
Standard MP3 audio at any bitrate.
Output format: .mp3
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know the exact timestamps to use?
- Play the file in any media player first to find the start and end times you want, then enter them here in seconds (e.g. 90 for 1:30).
- What happens if my end time is beyond the file's length?
- The tool trims up to the actual end of the file — you won't get an error, just a clip that ends wherever the source audio does.
- Will the cut points be exactly where I set them?
- Yes — audio doesn't have the keyframe restrictions video editing does, so trims land precisely on the timestamps you enter.
- What happens to my file after trimming?
- Your MP3 is processed entirely in server memory and the result is deleted immediately after download.
