PDFs that were generated by software — exported from Excel, Word, accounting tools, or web browsers — work best. These contain a real text layer that can be extracted. Scanned PDFs (photos of documents) do not contain text and cannot be converted.

What Excel format is generated?

.xlsx (Excel 2007 and later), compatible with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, and all modern spreadsheet applications.

Are my files kept private?

What if my tables are not extracted correctly?

PDF → Excel conversion is best-effort. PDFs with complex layouts — merged cells, multi-column text, rotated text, or embedded images — may produce approximate results. For perfect extraction, consider using the original source file if available.
