Add Page Numbers to PDF

Add page numbers to every page of a PDF. Choose bottom or top, center or right, and download the result instantly.

FloxerFile lets you stamp page numbers onto every page of a PDF without installing software. Each page is labeled with its position out of the total page count — for example "3 / 12" — so readers can always tell where they are in the document. Pick where the numbers should sit, upload your file, and download the numbered PDF in seconds.

Frequently asked questions

What format are the page numbers in?
Each page is labeled with its position and the total page count, e.g. "3 / 12" for page 3 of a 12-page document.
Can I choose where the page numbers appear?
Yes — pick bottom center, bottom right, top center, or top right before adding the numbers.
Will page numbers overwrite existing content on the page?
The numbers are placed near the edge of the page with a margin, so they typically avoid the main content area, but very dense layouts may overlap with existing text near that edge.
Will the quality of my PDF be affected?
No. Adding page numbers only draws small text onto each page — it does not re-encode or otherwise modify the existing content.
Can I number a password-protected PDF?
No, password-protected PDFs cannot be numbered. Remove the password protection first using your PDF reader, then add page numbers.
Are my files kept private?
Your files are processed on our servers solely to add the page numbers. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
