MP3 to WAV Converter
Upload an MP3 file and get an uncompressed WAV in seconds — free, no account required.
FloxerFile decodes compressed MP3 audio back into uncompressed WAV (PCM) directly on our servers. This is useful when a downstream tool or device requires raw, uncompressed audio. No software to install, no data stored after conversion.
How it works

Upload your MP3 file
Drag and drop your .mp3 file into the converter, or click to browse. Files up to 5 MB are supported.

Features
Real MPEG decoding
Decoded with a genuine WASM MP3 decoder (mpg123-decoder) into raw PCM samples — not a lossy container re-wrap.
Standard 16-bit PCM output
The output is a standard 16-bit PCM WAV file, compatible with virtually any audio editor or player.
Same sample rate as the source
The WAV keeps your MP3's original sample rate — nothing is resampled or altered beyond the format change.
Rejects files with no decodable audio
Files that fail to decode any audio samples at all are rejected with a clear error.
Supported formats
MP3 (MPEG-1/2 Layer III)
Standard MP3 audio at any bitrate.
Output format: .wav
Frequently asked questions
- Why is the WAV file so much bigger than my MP3?
- WAV stores audio uncompressed, so the output is typically 5-10x larger than the source MP3. That's expected, not a bug.
- Does this restore the quality lost when the MP3 was made?
- No — MP3 compression is lossy and that data is gone permanently. This produces a real uncompressed WAV from what's still in the MP3, it doesn't reconstruct anything beyond that.
- What sample rate and bit depth is the output?
- The WAV matches your MP3's original sample rate, encoded at 16-bit depth.
- Is my file stored anywhere after the conversion?
- Your MP3 is decoded entirely in server memory and the result is deleted immediately after download — nothing is kept.
