Flatten PDF Online

Turn fillable form fields and annotations into permanent, non-editable PDF content in one click.

FloxerFile lets you flatten a PDF so that fillable form fields, checkboxes, and annotations are baked directly into the page content and can no longer be edited. This is useful once a form has been filled out and you want to lock the values in place before sharing or archiving the document. No software, no sign-up, just upload and download.

Frequently asked questions

What does flattening a PDF do?
Flattening converts interactive form fields — text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns — and annotations into permanent, static page content. The values you see stay exactly as they are, but they can no longer be edited or filled in.
What if my PDF has no form fields?
If the PDF has no interactive fields to flatten, the file is returned unchanged — flattening simply has nothing to do in that case.
Will the appearance of my PDF change?
No. Flattening preserves how the document looks. Filled-in values remain visible exactly as they appeared before, they simply become part of the static page content instead of an editable field.
Can I flatten a password-protected PDF?
No, password-protected PDFs cannot be flattened. Remove the password protection first using your PDF reader, then flatten the file.
Are my files kept private?
Your files are processed on our servers solely to perform the flattening. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
