Crop PNG Online
Trim unwanted edges from a PNG image by setting precise top, bottom, left, and right margins.
FloxerFile lets you crop a PNG image directly in your browser. Whether you're removing an unwanted border, tightening the frame around a subject, or cutting out distracting edges, set the percentage to trim from each side and your image is cropped accordingly — transparency is preserved throughout, no software, no sign-up.
How it works
- 1
Upload your PNG
Drag and drop your PNG image, or click to browse. Files up to 20 MB are supported.
- 2
Set your margins
Enter the top, bottom, left, and right margins to remove, as a percentage of the image's width or height. Leave a field at 0 to keep that side unchanged.
- 3
Crop
Click Crop PNG. Your image is cropped to the new dimensions on our servers.
- 4
Download your cropped PNG
Download the resulting PNG with the new margins applied and transparency preserved.
Features
Per-side margin control
Set independent top, bottom, left, and right margins instead of a single uniform crop.
Percentage-based
Margins are set as a percentage of the image's dimensions, so they scale correctly for any image size.
Transparency preserved
Cropping keeps the PNG's alpha channel intact — no white or black background gets added.
Privacy-first
Files are processed in memory and deleted immediately after download.
Free & no sign-up
No account, no credit card. Crop as many images as you need.
Works in the browser
No software or plugins needed — upload, crop, and download entirely online.
Supported formats
PNG
Standard PNG images, including those with transparency.
Output format: .png
Frequently asked questions
- What unit are the margins in?
- Margins are entered as a percentage of the image's width or height, not absolute pixels. A 10% top margin trims 10% of the image's height from the top, regardless of the image's actual size.
- What happens if I leave a margin empty?
- Any margin left empty defaults to 0, meaning that side of the image is left untouched.
- Can the margins be too large?
- Yes. Each margin is capped at 49% individually, but if the combined margins on an axis leave nothing left to show, the tool rejects the request and asks you to use smaller values.
- Will cropping remove the transparent background of my PNG?
- No. The alpha channel is preserved exactly as it was — cropping only trims the frame, it never flattens or alters transparency.
- Can I crop other image formats?
- This tool only accepts PNG files. Use Crop Image for JPG or Crop WebP for WebP files.
- Are my files kept private?
- Your files are processed on our servers solely to perform the crop. They are deleted automatically once the download is complete and are never shared or stored long-term.
